· We visit pre school play groups and private day care nurseries attended by children from our new intake. We talk to staff and observe the children in these settings before they start at Homerton.
· If a child has identified Special Educational Needs we liaise with pre school learning support teachers and other specialists who have been involved.
· Our local health visitor visits to talk with us about children who may have health concerns or whose families may be experiencing difficulties. She is also involved in supporting our Parenting courses, and other drop in sessions.
· We offer training to child minders and work in partnership with our network of childminders. The Child Minding Coordinator is based at the Centre.
· We offer training to other Early Years workers, particularly in the area of Information Communication Technology. We also welcome visits from Early Years educators to observe our practice.
· Students from local Colleges of Further Education undertake teacher or nursery nurse training with us, or carry out research.
· We have strong links with The Faculty of Education. Students come to the Centre as part of their course, and staff from the Centre have given talks to teacher training students or been involved in research projects.
· At times we have younger students from secondary schools on work experience placements.
· We have links with Addenbrooke’s hospital and prospective nurses may undertake a part of their training here.
· We liaise with primary schools our children move on to, to ease the transition from Nursery, welcoming visits from staff and sharing information, both written and verbal.
· We have strong links with Morley Memorial school, our main feeder school. We share a staff meeting in the Summer Term, have visits from staff, and take future Morley attendees on a supported visit to their new classrooms.
· We liaise with other LA Nursery schools through visits and regular meetings. We sometimes join together for training days. Much of our work and training is promoted through the Nursery Circle.
· We organise courses and events for parents and carers led by specialists, for example, in Creative Play for Toddlers or Reflexology.

· Visitors come to talk to the children, for example, from the Fire Service or a Post Office representative.
· We welcome Early Years specialist visitors from overseas.
· We work with the co-ordinator for Health Promoting Schools initiative to ensure the continuity and development of our programme.
· We have worked with a representative from the Wildlife Trust to conserve and maintain our natural garden and pond area.
